today is the day of my Venus return. ✧
Life lately has been so saccharine sweet, so dripping with goodness, that it almost feels unreal. quite regularly i find myself stopping to take a breath, like how is this even my life?
on Sunday i took a roadtrip with my dearest friends to the ocean. but we had no idea we were heading there until the morning of. it was a spontaneous trip out of my Sag moon dreams — everyone committing to an entire day together knowing nothing more than it would be fun, exciting, and connective, as things always are with us.
because there were no expectations, every moment felt wrapped in sepia, enshrined in my memory like a kodak film — rocking out to classical music, stopping for Bak Kut Teh, exploring Klang like it was another state, taking ridiculous photos in an alleyway, stopping to watch (and dance with) a cargo train, munching on pandan layer cake, the miles zipping by as we made our way down south …
