One of my favorite things to do is perform Brooke’s poems. There’s just something about her words that rips me to shreds and leaves me a quivering, emotional mess 🥺 I don’t hold any of the copyrights to this poem, but after sending the recording to my friend Paige (and receiving this response), I felt moved to immortalize it here — with full credits to the original poet, of course.
