stop using surrender as your excuse to not try
your guide to the north node in pisces ✧ Jan 2025 – July 2026
Calling all healers, witches, light workers…
It’s finally our time to shine.
Welcome to the North Node in Pisces. ♓︎
Happy 2025, friends.
This year is massive astrologically. The nodes shift to Pisces-Virgo. Every single one of the outer planets change signs — Saturn (to Aries), Jupiter (to Cancer), Uranus (to Gemini), Neptune (to Aries), Pluto (to Aquarius).
You’ll notice that it’s majority Fire and Air. This year is HOT — the very nature of these elements is fast and furious. We are already seeing some of this play out on the world stage (my heart goes out to LA).
I don’t want to explain anything away astrologically. That’s not the function of astrology; not to me, at least. I find it’s more important to tune in — to align our actions with the bigger picture that’s unfolding.
Right now, the most pertinent piece of the puzzle is the nodes.
What is the North Node?
Fun fact: The north node is what made me fall head over heels for Astrology.
The year was 2021. I was going through massive shifts in my world, questioning my work, my worth, my everything. All of a sudden, a fellow Pisces friend sent me this book: “Hey, you should check this out.”
It was Astrology For The Soul by Jan Spiller.
Reading about the nodes fascinated me. The North Node is characterized as your bigger life purpose — the one thing your soul is hungry for. The sign is the characteristics you are learning to embody; the house it’s in reflects where you hope to embody these traits.
As an example: I am of the North Node in Scorpio generation. It falls in the 5th house for me. I am deeply drawn to Scorpionic themes: death, rebirth, psychology. In the 5th house, I bring this intensity to everything I create, even to my hobbies and recreation (hence my obsession with dancing).
What’s yours? Have a try at it. Comments are open to everyone for two weeks!
What is the South Node?
With the North Node, there’s also the opposite point: the South Node.
The South Node characterizes our past life gifts and shadows, what we are moving away from in this lifetime to embody the traits of the North Node.
As an example: My South Node is in Taurus. Laziness and stubbornness are my Achilles heel. I have a tendency to get stuck in comfort, at the expense of my own growth, which is what my soul craves for in this lifetime. For me, learning to embody the high road of Taurus (consistency, security, mindfulness) while letting go of indolence is what will support me in my journey towards my Scorpio North Node.
Is this true? Let me know in the comments!
♓︎ The North Node in Pisces
On January 11, 2025, the nodes shifted from Aries-Libra to Pisces-Virgo.
They will stay there until July 2026, for a total of 18 months.
This is a shift from the warrior to the mystic. The fighter to surrender.
Pisces is characterized as two fish swimming in opposite directions, symbolizing the cycle of life. We often say that Pisces is about going with the flow.
As a Pisces Sun and stellium myself, I find that I go with the flow too much.
It’s scary to look back on my year and wonder where all the time went.
I believe the High Road of the Pisces North Node is to flow with intention.
We all have goals, desires, dreams we want to achieve but feel out of reach. So it’s easier to put them on the backburner. Keep them as a fantasy, so we never need to actually try.
How many things do we write off as “impossible”, all because we got used to thinking of them that way?
I have been an entrepreneur my entire life. Income security was something I’ve never enjoyed, save for a brief moment where I was paying myself a salary from my empathy training biz.
When I went full time with The Asian Astrologer, I handed the reins over to the Universe. I said, “I trust you will provide for me.”
And it did. I never went hungry. Save for a few minor scares, I never had to worry about money.
But then I broke up, and moved out. For the first time in my adult life, I was financially independent.
I’ve always thought financial stability wasn’t “in the cards” for me.
But with my recent corporate client gig, I sense a turn of the tides, ushered in by the nodes shifting into Pisces-Virgo.
There is a demand for our work. Our services. Our light.
Maybe income security was possible after all.
Dare I dream that big…?
The North Node in Pisces shifts the collective focus to the spiritual.
The world needs us to be in service more than ever.
We are being called to step up. Be seen. Create actual businesses and brands.
But that also requires giving up the shadow of Pisces: avoidance of the physical.
The nitty-gritty. The paperwork. The dotted i’s and crossed t’s.
How many of us have been avoiding our bank account? Our taxes? The bones of our business, our realities, our lives?
It’s time for us to walk the high road of Virgo.
♍︎ The South Node in Virgo
My natal Chiron is in Virgo, so I feel this passionately — I am a perfectionist.
I feel like, if I can’t get it right, I shouldn’t even try.
I feel like, if the details overwhelm me, then it’s not for me.
My inability to grasp the physical doesn't mean I cannot succeed in the material realm.
Read that again twice.
Pisces and Virgo are sister signs for a reason. The spiritual is in the physical. The mystical is in the mundane.
Imagine the magic and beauty of a flower. That comes from the act of planting it in soil; through intentional watering and pruning each day.
In that same vein, our spiritual practices and business require the same tender loving care. 🌷
I was just telling my dear spiritual coach friend that I bring my business on a date to the same café every Monday.
It is my ritual. My offering. My commitment to the physical.
The physical act of going out to serve my business is what creates structure and routine for it to thrive.
Ever since I started doing it last year, I saw a marked difference in how I approached my work.
I’m no longer “doing astrology”.
I am a business owner. I run an astrology business.
And this year, I have set a massive goal, the scariest one of all —
I want to earn a consistent monthly income from my astrology business.
I don’t want to use “surrender” and “cyclical seasons” as excuses anymore.
I believe I can build a flourishing, ethical, joyful career while fully walking the path of spiritual service.
And that starts with releasing the shadow of Virgo: perfectionism…
And embracing the high road of Pisces: …service.
Showing up in service to my clients.
Showing up in service to my business.
Showing up in service to myself.
I hope this guide has supported you in your understanding of the nodes.
May this 18-month journey be a magical one. ✴︎

I have to say, you have a way of writing about astrology that is so clear and precise and poetic at the same time, I am so inspired! I'm studying astrology now and really admire the way you take these complex themes and make them easy to digest. I also have a lot of Pisces energy in my chart (pisces sun, pisces venus and 12th house moon and Chiron) so I can totally relate to much of what you're saying here! Plus I have a 5th house north node as well and I absolutely LOVE that part of my chart. Thank you so much for being of service and sharing your wisdom here.
Btw, I am Leo rising! <3
