✧ ˚ welcome to April! this one is free for all to read & comment · ✧
And just like that, we are in the warm embrace of April.
If you’ve been on the astrology side of the Internet, you would’ve been inundated with tons of “lingo” lately — eclipses and retrogrades and even a Jupiter-Uranus conjunction. Yes, April is a BIIIIG month astrologically. 💫
I can imagine how overwhelming it must feel, so I’m gonna do my best to explain it all here in the simplest way possible. Let’s dive in!
❤️🔥 Eclipse season
Eclipse season occurs when the Sun/Moon aligns with the lunar nodes in the sky. It is a time of accelerated, unexpected change. Depending on our individual charts this will affect each of us differently, but you’ll definitely be feeling the 🌀vibes🌀. My astrologer friend Nivi made a super cool video on eclipses — check it out!! ↯
We’ll have eclipses on the Aries–Libra axis this year, which highlights themes of independence / courage / initiative vs. codependency / harmony / people pleasing. 🧐 Do you remember what was going on for you last October? ➡️ There was a solar eclipse in Libra in mid-October, which set the tone for the stories playing out in this current eclipse cycle. ⇢ Read more about it here
🌀 Mercury Retrograde
Retrogrades happen when a planet ‘appears’ to be moving backwards in the sky. Ancient astrologers took this to mean that the planet isn’t 'functioning’ normally, and the things under their purview won’t go as planned. 🧠 Mercury (the messenger planet) has the most retrogrades, sometimes up to 4 times a year, so it is the most commonly known one in astrology circles.
Mercury Retrograde isn’t something to fear. It is a time for ‘re’ words: revise, review, reflect, reassess, and reconnect within.
🧐 Have you noticed stuff from the past coming up again now? Old relationships, behavioral patterns, forgotten projects or passions? ❤️🔥 Aries rules passion, and a Mercury retrograde in that sign could very well remind us of our true desires.
Having Mercury retrograde before a big juicy solar eclipse next week is almost like the Universe saying, “you need to face your past before you can welcome your future.” ☁️🌀💫
If you voted for the last option, you’re not alone. This coming Aries new moon solar eclipse on April 8th will kiss Chiron exactly at 19º Aries. ❤️🩹 Chiron is the wounded healer, and this eclipse will amplify a message of healing for us all.
When in doubt, come home to your gut, your heart, your intuition — it always knows best. I’ll be making cosmic IG reels as often as I can to tide us through this season together. You can watch my first one here ⇢
Okay that’s it from me! I know there’s so much else I can cover (like that Jupiter-Uranus conjunction), but I’ll save it for future newsletters. What I wanna know is… Was this breakdown actually useful for you? Did it help you feel less anxious / more empowered for the Astrology ahead? 😍 ↯

We’ve hit 100 readings! 💯 What an euphoric feeling. Since hitting the goal I’d been working towards for my entire astrology career, I’ve been taking it easy, not pushing or forcing, just letting the eclipse energies work their magic.
I definitely feel like I’m on the cusp of something. A shift in my career, the way I approach this work, the way I serve — rearranging like tectonic plates beneath my feet. For now, I am dancing, and laughing. Spending time with friends. This life is so fleeting, and so precious. It is so much more than what I can ask for.
How have you been, dear friend? How has this Super Bowl of a season been treating you? I always love hearing from you in the comments ♡
Coming up next week… A special New Moon eclipse edition, just for paid subs. See ya then! 🥰
Well...I don't know what any of it means but I still love reading it. I think I'm searching for something of myself in your words but still don't know if I'm finding it. But hey...I'm still here!
I have been on a journey of dealing with past trauma and integrating my shadow self. I'm approaching a time of big changes in my life, and I've become more and more aware of how my past hurts can resurface as reactions and might hurt my loved ones as well. But mainly I've been seeing how the critical, bullying language of what I was subjected to by my stepdad when I was still a boy, have become my own script and that I've been using the selfsame language to continue hurting myself day-in and day-out. I'm learning to be more compassionate towards myself, as I find it easier being compassionate towards others, even those who continue to hurt me. ❤️
