Many of you know I went for my first spiritual workshop on Sunday. The topic was “healing your inner child” — very on brand for the Scorpio full moon today.

The archetype of Scorpio is associated with digging. Digging up our past. Secrets. Taboo. Surgery. Psychology. Unearthing the heart of the matter, so you can sit with it — and heal it. There is a real resilience of spirit that Scorpio embodies. That is why it is associated with the Phoenix — rising from the ashes, no matter how many times it gets burned.

A big thing I learned in the workshop is that Everything is Energy. I’ve always ‘known’ it, but it was further reinforced by the teacher. “Imagine that you are a radio station, and everything you emit is a frequency,” she said. “What kind of vibration are you putting out now?”

I know that I’ve been giving my power away for a particularly sticky emotional issue in my life; I have been for a while now. When I was trawling through my journals in preparation for this Full Moon, I was shookt to find that this issue began exactly on the New Moon in Scorpio. 😳🤯

Today, as the Full Moon looms above, I decided to take matters into my own hands.

I gently asked Shawn to give me two hours of alone time. Set up my space. Music, candles, crystals, the works. I did some ecstatic dance to get into my body. As I moved, I allowed the emotions to wash over me. Grief, longing, desire, frustration.

This Scorpio Full Moon brings our emotions out of the dark.

There is something that is asking to be seen right now. To be illuminated in the full light of the Moon. Pluto, Scorpio’s modern ruler, is adding tension via a T-square — fancy speak for, “we need a release right now. Else this pressure’s gonna blow.”

The funny thing is? We’re fully ready to face it.

The story has been shifting for a while now. All throughout eclipse season and Mercury retrograde, we’ve been building courage. Overcoming challenges. Facing our inner demons. This Scorpio Full Moon is like the final boss-level of a game.

You and your shadow, coming face to face.

I wrote down everything I was letting go of on a Post-It Note. Suddenly, I knew what I wanted to do: burn that sh!t to the ground.

The fire was hungry, licking its way up the paper. As I stared into the flame, I imagined everything — the grief, the longing, the frustration — slowly burning away.

As paper turned to ashes, I gasped. Somehow, one phrase remained.
