Hello friends!!
First of all, can you believe we are at 300+ of us here now?
To all our new friends, welcome!!! This is
Substack where I, your host Gwen, shamelessly shares personal stories in a bid to make Astrology more human, practical and accessible for all. Iβm so glad youβre here.So as most of you might know, Aquarius season is right around the corner.
I wrote in my Astrology of 2024 series that the Sun shares a kiss with Mr Pluto in Capricorn before sashaying forth into Aquarius on 21 January β‘οΈ, Pluto following soon after. We are soon to have an abundance of Fixed Air in our skies, so letβs unpack that a little.
Aquarius is the sign of the rebel. There is just something about being ruled by Uranus (its modern ruler) that makes Aquarius want to dance to the beat of their own drum, traditions and niceties be damned. π₯
As an Air sign, they are cerebral β often to a fault, using logic and detachment to debate, dissect, and analyze.
But as the βwater bearerβ, they are also strangely emotional π β βholding all the water in the worldβ before being released in Pisces.
Aquarius is rebellious because they hold a vision for the future most of us cannot even begin to imagine. And you need to be willing to stand apart from the crowd in order to lead it.
The karmic responsibility Aquarius bears is to be the one that shakes up the status quo enough to let the rest of us know itβs OK to do things differently. β‘οΈ
But because of this, there is a deep wound that many Aquarius placements carry β that they are βtoo weirdβ to be loved, βtoo strangeβ to be understood, and they need to suppress their eccentricities in order to βfit inβ.
Yet, that couldnβt be further from the truth.
The true cornerstone of Aquariusβs magic is COMMUNITY. βοΈ
Aquarius is associated with the 11th house of society, networks, the Internet, and yes, community. It is the House of Blessings because we know that belonging is precursory to so much of what gives us joy on Earth. Yet, often what we most long for is the depth of connection that can only be found when a group of weirdos who are weird in all the same ways come together.

Over the weekend, a lifelong dream came true:
I finally met some of my online Astrology friends in person.
I didnβt plan for it. It just happened.
My friend
was in town. She is a fellow astrologer from Canada whom is now based in Thailand, just a stoneβs throw away from me in Malaysia. Weβve been online friends since my Level 3 weekend last June, and I was excited to finally get to see her in person.A day before Kaitlyn was due to arrive in Kuala Lumpur, I did a natal chart reading for a woman named Krissy who β surprise, surprise β was also from North America, but happened to be remote working in KL.
Ding ding ding ding.
My Cancer rising couldnβt help it.
I immediately organized a gathering for everyone to meet each other.
And what unfolded was so quietly profound, that Iβm still sitting here days later, thinking about it.
